Following the meeting of Dacian CioloÅŸ, Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development, with Simon Coveney TD, Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, the Commissioner said:

“The Commission put on the table a strong proposal regarding the future of the CAP in terms of the budget. The agricultural sector remains a key sector for the European Union, not only for the economy but also for society. Therefore the Commission proposed a strong budget for the CAP. I’d like to thank the Irish Government for their support for our proposal.
